Lightning struck this tree on the opposite side of the road.
Only 20 - 25 meters from the house.
It threw the top of the tree and all the branches to the ground around and on the road.
The power of Lightning is phenomenal.

Woooow! This is such a great way to show how powerful a lightning strike is. Quite scary, but you're right - it IS phenomenal.

Thank-you Sethia .. The branches, that have been cleaned up, were thrown some 15 - 20 metres from the base of the tree.
The road was covered with debris. I have seen lightning strikes similiar and probrably a bit more powerful .. I carry a camera now .. so I have the evidence to show.
