'Less is more': Kmart shoppers share space-saving tips using $8 item

A little creativity can go a long way, especially when it comes to home organisation and decor.

When that creativity gets paired with budget-friendly finds, it's no wonder that savvy shoppers are quick to share their tips with the world.

The latest buzz among stylish homeowners involves a twist on a popular tip involving Kmart items, and it's all about maximising space without breaking the bank.

The original tip involved Kmart's 3 Tier Floor Caddy ($15), which clever homemakers transformed into a chic coffee station on their kitchen bench.

Not to be outdone, another resourceful shopper revealed how they achieved a similar effect with an even more affordable item: Kmart's 2 Tier Arch Blonde Serve Stand ($8).

The shopper's post quickly gained traction as she explained why she opted for the serve stand.

'Everyone is really loving the shower caddy tip. I also loved it, but I didn't love the colour nor have the space,' she said.

'So instead of building one, I brought the clearance cake stand and did a mini version,' she added. 'Perfect for my little unit.'

While the 2 Tier Arch Blonde Serve Stand may hold fewer items than its bigger counterpart, it's a perfect fit for smaller spaces.

The simplicity and functionality resonated with many, prompting positive comments about the stylish and space-saving solution.

'Prefer your tip! Looks very nice,' one person wrote.

'Less is more. I think it looks better,' another said.

The enthusiasm didn't stop there, as other shoppers expressed their eagerness to replicate the tip.

'I love this! I don't have a big kitchen bench to accommodate the other tip, but this one is perfect!' a third exclaimed.

While many have adopted it to spruce up their kitchen counters, others found alternative uses for the serve stand.

One shopper shared their take on the tip.

She used the bottom shelf for coffee essentials and the top for a reed diffuser and a touch of green in her kitchen.

Another shopper used the stand in their bathroom as an elegant storage solution for toiletries and decor.

As of writing, the serve stand is sold out online, yet still available for in-store purchase.

This $8 Kmart tip is a testament to the power of innovation and the joy of personalising one's space without spending a fortune.
