Laurie and Dorrie

The nursing home.

Every day in the afternoon, after lunch, Laurie and Dorrie would sit on the couch to watch television with all the other residents.
One day, Dorrie decided to pull out Lauries' member and just hold it.
The other residents started to get a bit upset with this behaviour and put in a formal complaint.
Nurses came in to the sitting room and tried asking them to change the behaviour but they wouldn't. They were physically grabbed trying to pull them apart but they wouldn't budge.
They were told that if they didn't change their ways, they would have to face management. This still didn't deter them. So the nurses went to management to inform them what was happening. The manager came out, surmised the situation, and suggested that a blanket could be thrown over them so as not to upset the other residents. Out of sight, out of mind so to speak. So the nurses grabbed a blanket and threw it over Laurie and Dorries lap. This seemed to settle the nurses and the other residents. Now everyone was happy.
This went on for several weeks until one day Laurie didn't show up for lunch. There would be no sitting together in the lounge after lunch with Dorrie holding Lauries member. Dorrie started to fret thinking the worst had happened to Laurie until dinner time came and there was Laurie sitting next to Ethel.
She leaned forward with a sigh of relief and said "I missed you today."
Laurie nodded his head and smiled.
Dorrie said, "So where were you?"
Laurie leaned forward, smiling, and quietly said, "I was with Ethel."
Dorrie, feeling somewhat put out with Laurie sitting next to Ethel, leaned forward and quietly asked, "So um, what's Ethel got that I haven't got?"
Laurie leaned forward and quietly said, "Parkinsons."
