Kmart's latest 'bargain buy' has customers' homes smelling like bakeries

Nothing is as satisfying as discovering a life-changing product with a pocket-friendly price tag.

Kmart has once again hit the nail on the head with another kitchen appliance that had shoppers talking.

The Kmart Bread Maker ($79) has been on the market for a while, but its popularity has remained strong.

The bread maker is an alternative for similar appliances that may cost over $100 online.

One happy customer took to social media to express her delight in the item and describe how it helped her achieve delicious loaves of bread with minimal effort.

'Well, I'm impressed and highly recommend the bread maker. I can't wait to try other recipes. $79 is a bargain!' she exclaimed in a post.

'It's a decent size, about 1/2 the size of a normal loaf,' she added.

The cost-effectiveness of this appliance is another reason for its positive reviews.

A Finder comparison revealed a 22 per cent increase in bread prices from 2022 to 2024.

With the price of pantry staples like bread steadily climbing, the ability to bake your loaves at home has become a wise financial decision.

She made four loaves using a store-bought bread mix, significantly cutting her weekly bread expenses.

However, it's not just about saving money.

Thanks to a growing trend towards conscious food consumption, and with the bread maker, users can enjoy homemade bread free from unnecessary additives and preservatives.

'When making your own, you know what is in it and that there are no added chemicals. The less processing, the better,' she added.

'I've been happy with mine. Set before bed and wake up to freshly baked bread,' one customer wrote.

'This is incredible! I have to say I was a bit dubious about how well he'd work because he was so cheap,' another reviewer wrote.

'We've used him daily for the past four months, and he is magical! Such good bread and such excellent value!'

Another reviewer shared her experience in using the bread maker.

'Fantastic product! It was a reasonable price, came in perfect condition, was a great size and was super easy to use! The house smells amazing whenever we use it, and it's easy to clean, not too loud, and produces beautiful, consistent loaves,' she wrote.

In a time when the cost of living is a growing concern, finding ways to stretch the household budget without compromising on quality is more important than ever.

Kmart's bread maker is a shining example of how a small investment can yield delicious returns in terms of flavour and finances.

Since Home Bread Makers have come out I have bought nine of them (all good name brands) and everyone of them has failed within a 12mth time frame. I have gone back to handmix & oven, and still it hasn't failed.
Sometime the old ways are the best way.

My parents bought a Panasonic breadmaker when breadmakers were still relatively new to the home market ( over 30 years ago). They used it for a few years, I then gave it a home and used it until my children flew the coop. Gave it to my daughter-in-law several years ago and she has since made hundreds of loaves for the family. Never a glitch in performance it has been the best purchase ever! Unfortunately today's models seem to fall short from all reports.

Panasonic have always been a great and reliable brand. As I haven't bought one of the products for over five years, I can't comment on their current quality. Probably made in China now.

As an aside, when in Bunnings last week, I was checking the country of manufacture of high end power tools. I was horrified to learn that drills, angle grinders, sanders, etc., from AEG, De Walt and Milwaukee were made in China. Even my go to brand - Bosch - are now made in China! One upon a time, Bosch were manufactured in Germany, Switzerland, Poland or Hungary. Not anymore.... 😥

I paid $50 for my bread maker 18 to 20 years ago and it still going strong
I’d love one its on my wish list because I can’t bake bread to save my life,I’ve tried that many recipes but alas to no avail.😭
