If you’ve been meaning to turn your backyard into a play haven for your grandchildren, this is the perfect time to do it! Kmart just launched a new outdoor range to keep youngsters happy and active. From climbing ramps to a slide, you can bid adieu to the playground if you recreate the fun in the comfort of your own home.

Shoppers who have energetic toddlers are keen to get their hands on them after one mum, who goes by the name ‘Oh So Busy Mum’, raved about the release in a Facebook post.


‘Wow! Kmart Australia has some fantastic outdoor play items at the moment,’ she wrote alongside several pictures featuring a mud kitchen, climbing ramp, slide, and hopscotch mat.

But the good news doesn’t end there – they are available for a low price too! The giant hopscotch mat costs $16, while the wooden climbing frame retails for $39. An adjustable basketball hoop is going for $59 and 4 balance beams are also sold for $16.


Both parents and grandparents are excited about the outdoor range and what it would mean for their beloved little ones.

One user shared: ‘My son has Autism Spectrum Disorder and we have spent a fortune on therapy equipment over the years. Most of these items are just as good and for a better price.’

Another cheered: ‘Go Kmart! It’s so good to see that they are encouraging kids to play outside instead of being still and sitting around playing video games or watching TV.’

‘They have some great buys. Now, if it would just stop raining long enough to dry out the backyard so the kids can play outside.’ a third wrote.

One shopper revealed that they had already gotten their hands on some of the play items, saying:’ I already have several of the outdoor equipment put away for Christmas! I found a lot of them on sale in June so I grabbed some. Luckily, I have some extra room in the shed.’


As many more shoppers express their love for the range, Kmart announced plans to expand it.

A spokesperson for the retail giant stated: ‘Over recent years, our Kmart outdoor range has continued to grow in popularity and we are currently expanding this range.’

‘In particular, we have seen a huge demand for kids’ development, soft play, and wooden development products. We have a number of new exciting products in these ranges coming soon both in stores and online.’
