Kmart is bringing back an 80s fashion trend – are you here for it?

To our members who are following the latest fashion trends, you might have noticed that nostalgic and vintage pieces – such as denim jackets, bucket hats, large retro glasses, and even wide flare pants – are all making a comeback.
Now, it seems like another popular 80s fashion trend is making a triumphant return.
Aussies can now get their hands on a retro wardrobe item we're pretty sure many of us grew up with – stirrup pants!
It wasn't until the 1980s that wearing stirrup pants (more commonly known as "ski pants") became widely popular. These tight-fitting pants had a strap under the foot to keep both the pants and footwear in place.
However, when the nineties came around and trends changed, most Aussies agreed to leave stirrup pants behind, out of sight and out of mind.
That is, until recently when people and celebrities were spotted wearing the forgotten fashion trend again.

Thanks to the masterminds behind the latest clothing range at Kmart, these stirrup pants are now more accessible than ever.
"Stirrups are back, ladies and gents," one shopper wrote in the popular Facebook group Kmart Hacks & Decor, along with a rack full of black stirrup pants on display – which are currently on sale in-store and online for just $17.
Ranging from sizes 6 to 20, these pants are sure to be just as comfortable as you remember them from back in the day. With the right outfit, they can be quite sleek and can make your legs look longer by adding a bit of edge.
But does this mark the end for leggings and yoga pants? Apparently not, according to some users on Facebook.
A number of users admitted they will "never" wear these pants even if they were sold at a bargain price, with one user saying: "They are only back if we buy them and wear them. I won't be!"
But not everyone was unwelcoming, some users actually appreciated how comfortable and convenient these pants were, especially when you're wearing boots. "It'll be easier than tucking jeans in," wrote one woman.
Still not convinced? Just check out how this one woman is rocking the stirrup look!
