KFC's Original Mashies finally make their comeback, after years of waiting

Attention all KFC lovers! The long wait is finally over. Yes, you read that correctly. The KFC Original Mashies that our hearts and taste buds have been craving since 2011 are making a glorious comeback.
The menu item we all cherished – a deep-fried ball of mashed potato goodness coated in the Colonel's signature herbs and spices – has returned, making our taste buds dance with joy.
The Original Mashies are back after an entire decade, available in servings of six or 12 and served up with a side of gravy.
You may be wondering why all the fuss over these little treats. Unfortunately, back then, they were a short-lived menu addition that left KFC fans devastated when they didn't make the permanent roster.
Afterwards, many of us hopefully tried the gravy-filled alternate version, which ultimately stood no chance against the classic flavours of the original. The Gravy Mashies, though popular in Tasmania and selling over 130,000 during their first fortnight of availability, didn't quite offer the satisfaction the Original Mashies did.
Now, after a decade of patiently waiting, the fast-food giant has finally answered our calls. Fans from all over have been vocal in their demands for the return of their favourite snack, and KFC has spared us no longer.

Despite their short lifespan, the mashies left a lasting impact on KFC fans, and for the past decade, customers have begged for their return.
Though the mashies may have disappeared for twelve years, KFC fans never gave up hope of their return.
The Mashies' return will debut in participating Aussie KFC restaurants nationwide from Tuesday, May 16, lasting until Monday, June 12. However, this limited-time window should not deter you from quickly running to your local KFC to indulge in the snack you've waited years for.
