The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were caught amidst a cute moment today as Lieutenant Colonel Rob Money placed a bearskin hat on his 20-month old daughter’s head during the royal couple’s traditional visit to mark St. Patrick’s Day.
Every year, the royal couple drops by to visit the Irish Guards but the tradition has been brought to a halt since the pandemic started. For the first time in a while, Kate Middleton and Prince William made an appearance at the parade and the Duchess was spotted gracefully strutting in a Laura Green London dress priced at an estimated amount of $5,700 AUD (£3,200) which she paired beautifully with matching emerald accessories and a shamrock brooch.

Laura Green London is known among affluent fashionistas for its couture and sophisticated dresses tailored by a team of expert dressmakers. They are sought after by both television personalities and royal family members.
Zara Tindall, the eldest granddaughter of the Queen, previously wore a Laura Green houndstooth coat dress to the Cheltenham Festival earlier this week.
On her website, Laura Green quotes: “Fashion has the power to uplift and we want our clients to feel unbound to where or when they envision themselves wearing the pieces.”
She also styled her brunette locks in a low bun for the event and pieced the look together with a smart emerald fascinator which she wore as a hat. The mother-of-three stole the spotlight with a face of neutral make-up.
The Duchess went on to present the traditional sprigs of shamrock to the Officers and Guardsmen who will in turn issue it across the ranks, all the while the Duke can be seen proudly observing.
One of the many memorable instances caught on camera was when Lieutenant Colonel Rob Money playfully hands a bearskin hat to his daughter, Gaia Money.

The Duchess of Cambridge engaged in a quick conversation with the daughter’s mother and continued to interact with many others.
She shared another playful moment with the Irish Wolf Hound regimental mascot. Not only did she present the sprigs of shamrock to the Irish guards, but the Duchess being an animal lover, also presented the animal with his very own sprig of shamrock to mark the special occasion.

The parade concluded with a march-past where Prince William took the salute. Then, the royal couple proceeded to meet the members of the Regiment before sitting alongside official Officers and Sergeants for photographs.
This was then followed by a gathering in the Junior Ranks dining hall where the Senior Guardsmen in the Battalion proposed a toast to their Royal Highness.
The tradition was started by Queen Alexandra back in 1901 when the St. Patrick’s Day shamrocks were formerly presented by the Queen Mother, but eventually, Princess Anne took over the job. However, since 2012, the duty was handed over to Kate whose husband, Prince William, stands as the current royal colonel of the Irish Guards.
The royal couple will embark on a week-long tour in the Caribbean, where they’ll stop by Jamaica, Bahamas, and Belize – countries that are still in the Commonwealth realms.
The Duke and Duchess are set to launch a royal charm offensive during their first stopover in Jamaica - with insiders anticipating that Kate would play a role in persuading the country to stay in the Commonwealth.
Last November, Barbados switched to become a republic, which in turn cut ties with the British Monarchy and removes the Queen as its official head of state.
Jamaica’s prime minister, Andrew Holness, has confirmed that the country is looking to follow in Barbados’ footsteps stating: “There is no question that Jamaica has to become a republic.” just a few days after Barbados declared their independence.
And so, a tour in the Caribbean from the future rulers of England, Kate and Prince William, is crucial to prevent a domino effect, wherein other countries end up transitioning to become republics, from happening.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prime Minister Boris Johnson, several dignitaries, and schoolchildren at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey earlier this week.
The Queen, who had just recently recovered from coronavirus, wanted to make an appearance but instructed her son Charles to represent her instead at the service after discussing arrangements with members of the Royal Household.
