Jimmy Barnes' incredible transformation (and nostalgic dinner choice) wows fans

As years go by, one faithful companion has remained; Jimmy Barnes and his music have undoubtedly played a significant part in the lives of many Australians. We've witnessed the rock legend's ups and downs and shared his journey with him through it all.

That's why it's so exciting to see the 67-year-old musician looking trimmer and healthier than ever following his recent hip and back surgeries!

Late last year, Barnes underwent major surgery to address the pain years of live performing had inflicted upon his body. Fast forward a few months, and Jimmy has left fans amazed with a slimmed-down look—and they're not the only ones who noticed.

In a recent Facebook post, the Cold Chisel frontman shared a picture of himself with a hearty plate of corned beef, mashed potatoes, and vegetables with white sauce; also noting that it was a 'lite white sauce' for those who were wondering.

Barnes captioned the image, 'A quiet night home with my girl before two shows on the weekend. Be safe on the roads and enjoy your long weekend, everyone.'

The post garnered not only surprise and praise for his trim new look but also sparked a wave of nostalgia among his many followers, particularly over his choice of dinner!

Fans couldn't help but marvel at both Barnes' transformation and his culinary selection: 'Looking pretty fit there, fella! I should take a leaf!' wrote his Cold Chisel bandmate Ian Moss.

Other fans chimed in with similar sentiments, with one writing, 'You're looking very healthy, mate.'

The comments didn't end there. Many fans found themselves yearning for the days when their mothers would whip up a mouth-wateringly delicious plate of corned beef and mashed potatoes just as Barnes was eating.

One fan reminisced, 'Our mum used to cook that for us: Corned Beef, Mash, White Sauce and Cabbage!'

Others wasted no time exchanging their favourite variations and accompaniments for this classic dish: 'I love horseradish cream or seeded mustard with corned beef. Enjoy,' commented one fan.

I follow Jimmy and Jane on instagram . They are both amazing people.
During lockdown they would post a song a day where they would both either together or come together with family and friends to perform a song .
Even after lockdown they still do this just not as often.
Jane also brings you into their private life by posting food she has made and vegies and flowers they grow in their garden.

I believe Jane has alot to do with his amazing recovery

I reckon that Barnsie will hopefully entertain us for many years to come. He is legendary just like Farnham but one thing he might consider.....The Jimmy Barnes Cookbook....What a seller that would be.

Good on you Jimmy , looks a lot happier and healthier . Jane seems to be a good cook , as many Asian women they love making meals and have their whole family around the table. Some years ago Jimmy and Jane as well were drinking too much alcohol and it were their kids who said they should give it up. Keep it up Jimmy .(y)
