Jetstar's flight deal starting from $29 and Qantas' MEGA giveaway: Don't miss out on your share of a billion points!

It's been a record-breaking week for Qantas. Not only have they announced an impressive $2.47 billion full-year profit amid booming airfares, but they've also launched a 'mega sale' for passengers to enjoy - and nobody can afford to miss out on!
In one of their biggest loyalty giveaways ever, Qantas will be gifting more than ONE BILLION Qantas points to frequent flyers who have taken a Qantas flight in the past twelve months.
On top of this offer, budget airline Jetstar is also slashing fares by up to 50 per cent, with flights starting as low as $29 between Sydney to Launceston.
The sale has been designed to offer more than a million seats across Qantas domestic, Qantas international, Jetstar and QantasLink regional flights.
Plus, impressive international flights from Sydney to London are also available for a return journey, starting at $1799 - but you'd better be quick because the offer won’t last forever.
Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce said despite airfares costing more post-COVID-19, prices have dropped an average of 12 per cent in the last six months.
'Our customers have shown a lot of patience and understanding as the industry has recovered,' he explained in a statement.
‘[This comes] as more capacity [has] returned to the market, especially internationally, and we expect that downward pressure to continue,’
'We’ve announced a points or status credits gift today, but we know the best way we can thank them [our customers] is to consistently deliver the standards they rightly expect and reinvest our profits to keep improving their experience.'
Meanwhile, the Transport Workers Union has responded to the reported record-breaking profits of Qantas by calling for labour hire loopholes in the aviation industry to be closed.
'This obscene amount results from Qantas management exploiting labour hire loopholes, illegally sacking workers and price gouging, with sky-high airfares and rock-bottom standards,' the union said.
They went on, ‘Qantas should repay taxpayers, reinstate illegally sacked workers and return quality jobs and service standards to the once-trusted airline.’
