Is this $9 Kmart bathroom item worth the hype or a hard pass?

When it comes to staying organised at home, Kmart has long been everyone’s go-to for low-cost storage solutions. You can find everything–from drawers and cabinets to clever fabric organisers that promise to control even the messiest situation.
Recently, one woman called attention to another Kmart buy: two clear shelving units she spruced up her ensuite bathroom with.
The woman took to social media to showcase the product and how to install it. She mentioned that the transparent shelves only cost $9.
The installation process is deceptively simple: assemble the shelves using the included hardware and then attach the unit to the wall with adhesive backing.
Ensuring the shelves are spaced correctly, the woman placed a tall skincare product between them during the installation.
She adds that the shelves are hardy enough to support up to 3kg each, and once you attach it to the wall, you should let it set for 24 hours before loading it up with items.
In no time, her ample skincare products, perfume, and makeup–along with her husband’s aftershave–were neatly arranged. She aimed to free up some precious bench space in their ensuite bathroom.
Overall, the results were impressive, but this product recommendation didn't sit right with everyone.
Her post sparked a lot of conversation in the comments section. While some are praising the transformation, there are those who expressed their preference for her previous shelving unit.
One user wrote, ‘I like the first one because so much easier when it comes to cleaning and dust.’
‘That chunky unit was easier to keep things clean, though. It had a lid,’ a second person said.
