Introducing myself

Hi my name is Enid. I arrived in Australia from England in 1952 with my parents and two siblings. I was six years old. First place we settled in was a farm in Hyden West Australia. It’s near what is now called Wave Rock. We lived and worked on various places in the wheat belt of WA. Some schools I attended were in Arrino, Three Springs, Williams, Northampton, Mullewa and finally we settled in Geraldton. Three years at the same school Stella Maris College. I started work at 15 as a Telephonist at the GPO in Geraldton. After marrying I moved to Port Lincoln for four years and had my first two children. We moved back to Geraldton in 1966. I am now old enough to join this forum. I love being retired. I have now been widowed since May 2017 and last year I moved in with my youngest daughter and her partner. May hobbies are Diamond Painting and Scrapbookin.

Welcome Enid. Wonderful out there in the wheatbelt, we had a farm at Koorda for 7 seasons, years ago, then back to the city, nothing like the paddocks at night during cropping, the scent of fresh earth and the stars above, magic memories for me.
