Insurance didn’t cover our loss.
Yes our fridge was over 20 years old. However the motor died and we didn’t find out until the end of the day. We lost just under $400 worth of food. We put in a claim in feeling that they might not cover the fridge due to the age but hoping they would cover the loss of food. NO they would not pay out for either request as it was not an electrical fault or caused by a blackout. Am I unreasonable to think they should at least cover our food? We have been paying them for years and had not ever made a claim before.
