Indoors or outdoors? two very different environments.​

I found this new Christmas decoration for my garden - very excited - just what I wanted for outdoors. I read Indoor or Outdoor use - tick - because I wanted it for ourdoors. First rain I had noticed it was now fading (after 3 weeks in the garden) - I went and rechecked the box and that is when I read under WARNING: Indoor use only. I contacted Mirabella I received a reply " I spoke to our customer service consultants, and it can be used indoors or out". No mention as to why the material had gone from brilliant blue to washed out grey. I'm confused! So their reply was nothing like not trying to just accept the mistake and replace the item. Apparently, Mirabella don't hold any stock but the store I bought it from should be able to replace or refund it. Call me old fashioned - but I pointed out a pretty big flaw on their packaging wording and also that the material was not designed for outdoors and they thought. And (the maker of ) couldn't help me? If that was my business I would have just said "sorry" and please find attached your refund with our compliments. No such thing today as good or great customer service anymore.

I would take this to the department of fair trading , this is something that needs to be fixed.

Was there actual instructions in the box ?

Try consumer affairs you are entitled to a refund or replacement and that is your decision not the shop you bought it from
