Iced Vo Vo Christmas House

Celebrate Christmas with a delicious Iced Vo Vo Christmas House! This Aussie classic is a great way to enjoy the festive season. If you’re like us who love Iced Vo Vos, this classic Australian treat is the perfect way to get your sugar fix! This treat looks so good that Maddie said she wants to live in it and lick the walls. 😆 It will take a fair bit of time and effort to make, but the result is worth it! You can make this a bonding activity with your family and friends this holiday season.

Ingredients:
2 x 210g pkts Arnott’s iced vo vo biscuits
200g white chocolate melts
4 Arnott’s raspberry shortcake biscuits
desiccated coconut to decorate

Instructions:

1. Melt the white chocolate melts. Put the melts in a microwave-safe bowl and heat on medium power for 30 seconds until melted and smooth.

2. Make the individual pieces of the house. You need 2 x roof panels (each panel is 1 row of 4 biscuits), 2 x front and back walls (each wall is 2 rows of 2 biscuits), 2 x sides walls (each side wall is 2 rows of 3 biscuits). To make the roof panels, lay out two rows of four iced vo vo biscuits and pipe melted chocolate between each biscuit to connect them.To make the walls, you’ll need 20 biscuits. For the side walls, lay out two rows of three biscuits and pipe melted chocolate in between each biscuit. For the front and back walls, lay out two rows of biscuits and pipe melted chocolate between each biscuit.Put the pieces aside to set.

3. Build the house. Start by piping melted chocolate in an “L” shape on your board. Make a corner by placing the edge of one of your side walls and the front wall on the chocolate. Hold the walls in place and pipe chocolate onto the corner to connect them. Repeat this step with the remaining walls. Wait for the base to set.

4. Add the roof. Pipe melted chocolate on top of the walls and place the roof panels on top to form a pitch—pipe chocolate to connect the two roof panels and hold them in place. Don’t worry about piping too much chocolate, as drips can give the effect of icicles.

5. Take a single iced vo vo biscuit and pipe melted chocolate along the edge. Attach at a 45-degree angle to the front of the house to create a door. Hold until set.

6. Pipe chocolate on the back of four raspberry shortcake biscuits and attach them to the sides of the house to form windows. Hold until set.

7. Finally, sprinkle desiccated coconut over the house and windows to give it a snowy effect. Decorate as desired.

Optional extras:

1. Use different coloured chocolate melts to decorate the house.
2. Add some lollies and sweets to decorate the roof and windows.
3. Make a path with crushed biscuits leading up to the house.
