I just joined today. I hope to remain active by teaching financial literacy

"Hello, everyone. My name is Sandy, short for "Alexander". I was born in Geelong, Victoria. I live now in Sydney, NSW. (I spent many years in the Philippines, because both of my parents are Filipinos as well as all 5 of my siblings.)
At the age of 61, I am starting a new career. I wish to become a financial planner in two years' time. I am studying the fourth out of 12 subjects in a master's program... at an online academy based in Sydney. My previous workplaces (in the Philippines) were all about stockbroking & stockmarkets, teaching finance at a university, and teaching financial literacy to groups of enthusiastic small savers.
I returned to Australia in 2021 after a long absence. I am pursuing now my new career goal (of financial planner). If all goes well, i shall sit a board exam in 2024. If i pass it, then i can work as an "Adviser" to working people on "how to prepare for retirement," via prudent contributions to the superannuation fund, but also by thinking ahead and arranging all one's personal circumstances to lead to a "winning combination for one's whole family."
So now, I am studying 30 hours a week. I keep an eye open for opportunities for part-time work along the lines of teaching business, teaching finance, or teaching investment math & statistics. I have applied for teaching stints with colleges and TAFE.
I am willing to be invited to friendly discussions on "What are shares of stock" or "What are bonds?" or "What are all these financial markets all about?"
For recreation, I do bushwalks or city-walks of 6 - 9km. I used to play squash. Now i just swim at an aquatic centre ... or i play golf, when the weather is warm.

Oh my! I'm a Filipino :) This makes me so happy. Welcome to the forum, @sandy gilles ! We're delighted to have you. Thank you so much for taking the time to introduce yourself to us. I'm looking forward to your tips on financial literacy! I honestly don't know much about it myself and would love to engage in a discussion with you :D
