How to stop snails getting in your letter box...?

Snails in your letterbox can be a slimy nuisance! Here are some effective ways to keep them out:

1. Copper Tape: Line the edges of your letterbox with copper tape. Snails dislike the mild electrical charge it creates when they touch it.
2. Eggshells or Coffee Grounds: Sprinkle crushed eggshells or used coffee grounds inside or around the base of your letterbox. These create a texture that snails avoid.
3. Garlic Spray: Use a garlic-based spray inside the letterbox. The strong smell deters snails.
4. Rubber Bands: Place thick rubber bands or rubber rings inside the letterbox. Snails dislike the smell of rubber.
5. Diatomaceous Earth: Sprinkle this natural substance at the bottom of your letterbox. It’s abrasive to snails and keeps them away.
6. Vinegar: Spray undiluted vinegar inside the letterbox to repel snails. Just be cautious with your mail.

If you’re looking for a more permanent solution, consider installing a flap or cover over the letterbox opening to block their entry.
