How to lift grime off oven slides
This handy hint won't lift grime off your oven slides but it will loosen the baked-on grime and make it a lot easier to clean without using a lot of elbow grease.
Dissolve dishwashing powder in hot water (in the trough), place the slide in the water and let it soak overnight. Depending on the size of your trough and slide you may have to turn it upside down and soak.
Once this has been done, clean the slides with a jex. No elbow grease is required.
They come up beautifully.
