There’s no better person to turn to than Chantel Mila when it comes to cleaning and home hacks! Most recently, the cleaning queen shared three simple tips for getting rid of dust around your home in preparation for the long weekend to celebrate Easter.
The mum-of-two, also known as Mama Mila, recommended vacuuming behind the couch, under rugs, over the baseboards, and cushions– which are ‘hidden’ spots people tend to forget to go over during a cleaning session.
To add to that, she also revealed her homemade dust repellent recipe in a now-viral video posted on her Instagram page.
The Melbourne-based ‘home hacks’ expert said that the first of her three tips to get your home dust-free is to regularly move and vacuum underneath rugs and couches.
She rolls up her living room rug, moves her couch away from the wall, and proceeds to vacuum the commonly neglected spots, including the baseboards, to get rid of stubborn accumulated dust, and allergens.

Next, Chantel removes the covers from her throw pillows and pops them in the washing machine. To make sure there are no hidden dust mites left, she also vacuums the inside of the cushions thoroughly.
Finally, the clever mum unveiled her recipe for a homemade dust-repellent mix which she uses to spray on surfaces around her house.
To make her cleaning concoction, she combines a cup of water, a quarter cup of white vinegar, one tablespoon of coconut oil, and a few drops of lemon oil in a spray bottle before shaking it to mix.

“I’m such a fan of all your cleaning hacks and tips!” wrote one user.
While a second added their own dust-busting tip, recommending others to replace their air-conditioning or furnace filters regularly.
