How to get rid of coffee stains without scrubbing, thanks to our denture tablets!

If you're anything like us who drink an excessive amount of coffee each day, you would notice that your coffee glass, mugs, and basically, any other container where you regularly pour your coffee into picks up stains from the beverage over time.

For the most part, we try to get rid of these stains by tirelessly scrubbing the insides of our containers in a bid that it will be squeaky clean again, only to get disappointed because it still lingers on the glass surface after all of that effort.

So, if you're tired of getting frustrated over this irksome task, then we've got good news for you!

TikTok user Kristopher Juniel, who posts under the username @problemsolved, shared a hassle-free hack for cleaning coffee stains from the insides of any container.

"Over time, anything you put coffee in can pick up coffee stains. Here's how to get rid of coffee stains in hard water," he says in the video.

Kristopher reveals that he only uses denture tablets to get rid of the stains, emphasising that you don't need to exert effort into scrubbing them.

In his video, the TikTok user says that all you need to do is to pour water into the container, pop a couple of denture tablets in it, and let it sit for at least 15 minutes or longer for tough stains before rinsing it.

"Just like that, clean and good as new!" he says.

For those who don't have any denture tablets on hand, don't stress!

Kristopher also suggests that you can use baking soda as a substitute, but with some caveats — baking soda cannot perform the similar cleaning action of the denture tablets so you would need to exert some effort to scrub the insides of your container to clean it.

Aside from coffee maker glasses and mugs, the TikTok user claims that the hack can also be used for cleaning thermoses.

The video has gone viral on the social media platform, amassing over 180,000 views and hundreds of comments from TikTok users who are swooning over the trick.

One user wrote: "I'm going to try this!"

"How did TikTok know I needed this?" another asked.

A third chimed in: "Thank you! That's why I follow you!"

Others claimed that they've done the trick for years, with some suggesting other ways to use the trick.

One person claimed: "I’ve done this for years. My dad gave me this tip."

"These are also amazing at cleaning keycaps," another suggested.

A third quipped: "Yay I'm not the only one!"

Meanwhile, others suggested their own hacks on how to remove the stains without scrubbing.

One user advised: "Use crushed ice along with salt & lemon juice, then swirl around a few times, dump and rinse, it's a trick we use."

One woman suggested: "Baking soda and tomato sauce are my go-to for my metal travel mug. Sounds crazy, but it's quick and easy," she added.

Once a week I put some vinegar on a chuckle, run it around inside and out of the pot, then rinse. Works for me.

When my metal coffee travel mugs are embarrassingly dingy and coated I fill them up with warm water and drop in a cheap and cheerful dishwashing tablet. I leave them until the water has gone cold, a quick swirl around then rinse and they are as good as new. :)

I use bleach. Just a little in half a glass/cup of water and let stand for a few minutes. Then wash thoroughly.

A quick wipe out with a "magic eraser" (white block) works wonders. Rinse it and reuse countless times on all sorts of cleaning jobs.
