How did you find joy today?

G'day, lovely members! After celebrating my mum's birthday last week with a nice dinner party, I found myself suffering from a bad case of food poisoning the day after. And it certainly hasn't been easy since!

However, I did take some time to reflect on things today, and I realised that even though my days could definitely be better, I have a job that I thrive in and love, I work alongside brilliant team members who are an absolute pleasure to work with, lovely family members and friends who care about me, and the list goes on!

There are SO many things to be grateful for if you shift your perspective a little and choose to focus on what actually matters. And with that in mind, how did you find joy today? Whether it's relishing the first sip of a warm cup of tea or jumping on a call with your grandkids, share your happiness with us in the comments below.

My joy came on Saturday with the birth of my first great-grandchild, a precious little girl. After a small cancer surgery a month ago and a shoulder replacement waiting for me next week, the birth of little Aspen has made life so much brighter.

We should be joyous and thankful for life itself. It's up to us to make the best of it, amongst the ugliest things that surround us. I'm in my 70s and read a lot of history about War, past, present, and future expectations. It's not pretty. Today I look towards peace and quiet. The best thing that makes me happy now is, the smell of flowers in my garden. The feeding of wildlife, such as Kookaburras, Rainbow Lorikeets, Magpies, Pigeons, etc. My private independence. As I live alone on an acre property with a bushland setting with tall trees, I'm very close to ALL amenities. I wake up every morning, go outside with a cup of tea and listen to and feed the birds that amass in my front garden. I have turned down an offer of $1.8 million. My lifestyle is priceless living in paradise. Richard
