Hot Water Bores

When I was a child we lived in the bush near Gurley, NSW. My Father knew where at least 6 hot water bores were that would would run into a bore drain to water the livestock. The Farmers would get together In the winter to wash of the red dirt from the days work and used them as a community meeting place as well. We would go every evening! Unfortunately all the small bores were capped eventually and now there is only the hot baths in Moree, a large bore at Pilliga and of course the wonderful big community bore at Lightning Ridge.
