Hooray! Woolworths is bringing back its popular $12 Christmas dessert!

Christmas might still be a few months away, but that doesn't mean we can't get excited about all of the delicious food that will be making its way onto our dinner tables!

And one particular festive dessert that has Aussies drooling is the Chocolate & Hazelnut Pudding from Woolworths' Gold range.

Last year, this delectable treat flew off the shelves and left many customers disappointed at missing out, but fear not – it's back for 2022, and it's bound to be just as popular as last year!

A twist on the traditional Christmas pudding, this product features a rich sponge and chocolate hazelnut sauce, with crunchy, roasted hazelnuts sprinkled on top. Yum!

'This season, we're thrilled to bring back our Woolworths Gold Chocolate & Hazelnut Pudding,' said a spokesperson for the supermarket.

'We know many of our customers enjoy spreading their Christmas shop out over the months leading up to Christmas and tucking treats away in the pantry to enjoy closer to the festive season.'

'We look forward to rolling out our wider range of Christmas products in the months ahead,' they added.

These dessert treats are made by Buonissimo, a local award-winning bakery in NSW that takes pride in using only the finest ingredients in their products, so you can rest assured that these puddings are made with the highest quality in mind.

Woolworths recommends pairing the pudding with vanilla custard or vanilla bean ice cream (or both!), and at $1.50 per serve, it's an affordable option.

This dessert is the perfect way to cap off a festive holiday dinner, and since it offers eight servings, it's great for dividing and sharing with loved ones.

Aside from this mouthwatering chocolate pudding, Woolworths has also surprised and delighted its customers by introducing a new mango and passionfruit trifle to its dessert menu.

The dessert is built on a base of jelly made from delicious Australian mangoes, a custard layer, and hand-rolled sponge rolls stuffed with a considerable amount of mango and passionfruit filling.

These amazing dessert treats (the chocolate pudding in particular) are sure to be big hits among early holiday shoppers, so if you're in the market for one, get on down to your nearest Woolies and stock up before they're all gone!

This year, Christmas came a whole lot sooner than usual for us Aussies, didn't it? We'll probably run into you all at Woolies, folks, so see you then!

As always, there's the option of trying your hand at a homemade chocolate pudding. Here's a recipe you can consider:
