Honey Garlic Baked Salmon In Foil

Who doesn't love salmon? This healthy pink fish is not only delicious but packed with nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, protein, and vitamins. One of the best ways to enjoy salmon is by baking it, and this recipe for honey garlic baked salmon in foil is a delicious and easy way to do just that.

Ingredients:


2 x salmon fillet

2 tablespoons honey

2 cloves garlic, minced or crushed

2 tablespoons whole-grain Dijon mustard

Juice of 1/2 lemon

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Coarse salt and black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped coriander, for garnish

1 lemon, sliced, for garnish



Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees celsius. Line a baking sheet with a large piece of foil to fold over and seal to create a packet.

2. While it's heating up, mix together honey, mustard, lemon juice, garlic, oil, paprika, red pepper flakes, Cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Set this mixture aside.

3. Place the salmon onto the lined baking sheet. Pour the honey mustard mixture over the salmon, and spread it out evenly. Then, fold the sides of the foil over the salmon to seal the packet.

4. Bake the salmon in foil for 10-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fish. Once it's cooked through, open the foil and broil the salmon under the broiler for 2-3 minutes on medium heat. This will caramelise the top of the salmon.

5. Garnish the salmon with coriander and serve immediately with lemon slices. Enjoy!

There are a few things you can do to make this dish even more delicious. You could add some fresh herbs to the honey mustard mixture, like thyme or rosemary. Also, try serving the salmon with a simple side salad or steamed vegetables.
