This time around, it’s for all of you folks who have left no stone unturned in an attempt to keep those kitchen towels spotless - but to no avail. So, grab a pen and a piece of paper because you’re going to want to take down some notes!

The beloved mum-of-two Chantel Mila, also known as Mamma Mila on TikTok, demonstrates in her most recent video how she successfully lifts stains from tea towels and you only need four ingredients: white vinegar, dishwashing soap, water, and baking soda.

She begins by pouring two cups of warm water followed by a cup of white vinegar into a large glass bowl.

Then, she pumps about two tablespoons of dishwashing soap into the same bowl and submerges her dirty tea towels completely in the mixture. She leaves the fabric to soak in the bowl for an hour, explaining that in doing so, built-up grease will be targeted and cut through.

After that, she tosses the towels into her washing machine and sprinkles a cup of baking soda over the material to deodorise them. The cleaning queen proceeds by washing the fabrics on a normal cycle.

Once it’s all done, she pulls it out and reveals fresh and gleaming white tea towels. The home hacks expert says her cleaning method pre-treats the towels before a usual wash, therefore making it the easiest and most effective way to banish tough stains and odours.

According to the all hailed ‘Laundry Evangelist’ Patric Richardson, pre-treating fabrics with tough stains is the way to go if you want to remove them completely.

“There's no fabric you can't launder. It's fabric! And you can clean almost everything naturally.” he shared his laundry philosophy.

“I treat every textile in my house the same. Whether it's an Armani jacket or a tea towel with a carrot on the front, you should clean it well so you can keep on using it. That starts with pretreating stains right before you wash a load.” he added.

Chantel’s laundry tip garnered over 26,000 views overnight and comments of praise from fellow mums and homeowners.

“Wow! That looks sooo much clearer!” one user raved.

“THANK YOU!! I’m so sick of my towels being so stained and gross. Definitely trying this!” another added.

“What a helpful cleaning hack. Going to try this out for sure.” a third said.
