Hi, I'm a new member my name is Lolly.

I hope everyone is well and happy and it's ok not to be. I was very hesitent about joining because I'm not one for putting myself out there anymore. I use to before I got sick I was an extrovert very friendly and loved meeting new people so this is really good for me to reach out. I have got Narcolepsy it's incurable but I have learnt to live with it and live a day at a time, this is why I am now more of an introvert, even though it's robbed me of a normal life I'm very happy and I have a pretty good sense of humour. I look forward to meeting new people and learning new things. I have a beautiful black cat her name is Salem she's my devil cat because of some of her behaviour she makes me laugh so much and she's great company I would hate anything to happen to her it would break my heart. She is great company. I have been retired now for 10 years, I use to work at the PA Hospital as a wardsman, working with patients nurses and doctors, I absoloutly loved my job and I miss it so much sometimes, I worked there for 8 yrs then I had to retire because of my Narcolepsy I was putting patients and my self at risk other wise I would be still working.
I have 4 grannies 3 girls and a boy they call me Lolly, now if you're interested in what it means I will tell you.....Lolly Little Old Lady Loves You! I got it from one of my work mates at the PA I loved it when I heard it she said I could use it so I did.
Anyway I will leave it there for now I have to go do some cleaning and stuff. Please you all take good care look after yourselves and stay safe, talk again later. If you have any questions about anything please don't hesitate to ask. Warm Regards Lolly.

Hello @Lollie! What a wonderful introduction you have here, full of personality and warmth! You must have been such a presence at the hospital. Welcome to the SDC! I sincerely hope you have a wonderful time here. I hope things get better health-wise as well 🙏

I'm also proud to say that Salem's got the attention of our 'Paw'-esome team over here!

I also love that you gave us a brief backgrounder of your name (which is just such a pleasure to read!) and it reminded me of a recent question we asked members that you also might be interested in: https://seniorsdiscountclub.com.au/threads/what’s-the-origin-of-your-name.20947/
