Hi Julie! Welcome, we're happy to have you :) How have you been spending your retirement thus far?
Hello Xe, my apologies for not replying sooner. I only just found this message. I’ve been out of the workforce for some years due to health issues. I live with my partner of 16 years in a small NSW town. We have four grandchildren the youngest is five. She spent a lot of time with us before starting kindergarten this year. Plus Covid had kept us apart from all of our family.

How about yourself, what have you been doing with yourself?

Hi Julie! Not to worry. Thank you for taking the time to respond 🤗 I am not yet retired!

I'm sure you must be missing the time with your granddaughter a lot. COVID has taken so much away from us. If you have any pictures you'd like to share of your grandkids, I'd love to see them :)

Hi Xe,
I didn’t think by your photo you were retiring age.
It was more this being a Seniors Club but good everyone is welcome.
I posted a photo of my granddaughter on the post from Aldi’s kids blow up play centre. 😁

Haha Julie! I plan to retire by the age of 35 so I consider myself an honorary member ;)

And yes, I saw the picture. She is adorable!

Great plan Xe!
She is adorable 🥰 and lives about 1.5 hrs from us.
My partner and I haven’t seen her since about the end of January on her birthday for a few days, she started Kindergarten this year, so visits with us would have been limited, anyway.
But because of lockdowns, health problems and my partner scared about having the jabs, we haven’t been able to visit her and the rest of the family or them come here.
I’m don’t know what is allowed regarding Covid etc.

That's a shame. I do hope you both get the jabs soon so you can return to a sense of normalcy. Do you still at least video chat with her and the other grandkids?

Hi Xe,
Since we last spoke my partner has had both jabs though second one was delayed by a week. I had my second in early august.
Occasionally we video chat we the grandkids.

Hi Julie! Wow that is great to hear. I didn't know you could have them so close together now. But I'm really happy to hear that you're both protected as much as possible now!
