Heartwarming reunion: Baby born on roadside finally meets the strangers who saved her life

Imagine cycling on a peaceful day, only to come across a life-changing moment that will stay with you forever. That's exactly what happened to Lyn-Anne Chandler and Brian Herrmman last year in Kawana.
As they pedalled along, they stumbled upon a scene that would leave most in shock - a woman, Candi de Smeth, was giving birth on the side of the road, with her husband, Storm, frantically calling for help.
With the paramedics en route, the couple were in a race against time as Storm's desperate cries for assistance echoed through the phone call, 'My wife's giving birth on the side of the road. We can't make it to the hospital!'
But as fate would have it, baby Sienna entered the world before help could arrive.
When Chandler and Herrmann set off on their bikes that day, neither of them could have imagined how much their actions would impact the lives of others.
At that point, a car parked on the side of the road caught their attention. As they got closer, they saw Candi lying on the back seat with a newborn baby, not moving or making a sound.
Without hesitation, they knew they had to stop and help.
Chandler picked up the baby and started patting it on the back. Soon, the sound of the baby crying filled the air, which was a huge relief to the parents. The paramedics arrived shortly after, and the new family were safely transported to the hospital.
After the miraculous birth of their daughter Sienna, the de Smeths wanted to thank the strangers who had helped bring her into the world. But despite their best efforts, they couldn't find Lyn-Anne Chandler and Brian Herrmann.
That was until Candi turned to a local Facebook page for help. And after months of searching, the family finally found the strangers who had changed their lives forever.
The reunion was emotional, taking place exactly where it all began. Storm, Candi and Sienna hugged Lyn-Anne and Brian and thanked them for their selfless actions.
'You really didn't need to stop like that, so we really appreciate it. Thank you so much,' Storm said.
Holding the now healthy nine-month-old Sienna, Lyn-Anne responded, 'Well, there was no way we weren't!' The reunion was a heartwarming reminder of the kindness of strangers and the power of community.
