Hearing Australia

My husband and I recently underwent free hearing tests via our local over 60's club. My husband now needs to be fitted for a hearing aid, which he will get for free from Hearing Australia, and he will pay a small annual fee to cover batteries and repairs. We've known other older folks who've been suckered into "free" hearing aids and testing, only to find out they are up for hundreds of dollars. We can verify that Hearing Australia charged us nothing for testing or for the hearing aids ordered for my husband. As stated, you just pay the annual fee for maintenance/batteries/etc.

This is very helpful :D Thank you for sharing this with us, @DancingDolphin!

Thanks a lot for sharing! My husband might need hearing aids soon, too, and it would be really cool to get them for free. Does he need to be a member of the local 60’s club to have access to Hearing Australia? And is it a governmental or a nonprofit organization?
He already got checked at https://www.beckerentandallergy.com/locations/philadelphia-pa-ent-doctor/audiologist audiologist’s office, and there are certain issues with his hearing for sure. At first, it was only occasional tinnitus, but now it’s more complicated, and he started losing hearing too.
