Have you ever found yourself struggling with cleaning your stovetops? No matter how many times you scrub them, you just can't get rid of the grime and food buildup?

Well, if you find this relatable, then we've got fantastic news for you!

We are delighted to share with you two amazing hacks for cleaning your stovetop using common household items.

1. DIY scrub solution and cleaning vinegar

Chantel Mila, better known as Mama Mila, has taken to TikTok to reveal how she makes the secret cleaning solution that she uses to clean her stovetop.

In the video, Mama Mila mixes half a cup of baking soda, one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid, and one tablespoon of water into a bowl.

Once the solution is thoroughly-mixed, she applies it to her stovetop using a hand towel, making sure that the solution is evenly distributed on the stainless steel surface.

Chantel then leaves the solution for 30 minutes before spraying cleaning vinegar directly on top of it.

Finally, she uses a scrubber to scrub the DIY solution and remove grime and leftover food buildup, revealing a clean and shiny stovetop that looks brand new!

"This mix is powerful at banishing tough grease on stovetops and burners," she quipped.

Mum-of-two Carolina McCauley revealed a hassle-free hack for cleaning stovetops using dishwashing tablets.

In the video, Carolina places the grates of her stovetop into a sink before adding two dishwashing tablets into it.

Next, she fills the sink with warm water and leaves it to "steep".

The mum said that the method allows the water to remove all unwanted grease and food stains from the grates without the need for scrubbing.

The next shot reveals a pair of spotless and sparkling clean grates which Carolina claims were cleaned using the hack.

With all the kitchen gizmos around at the moment I find I'm using the traditional stovetop and oven rarely if at all these days. My microwave is also a convection oven and much more suited in size to my needs. Then there's the air fryer, slow cooker, multi cooker, steamer etc etc. I cleaned my stovetop, covered it with a tea towel and it's now used more as a stand for the other things. It currently has the slow cooker on it making pumpkin soup!:D
