It's always puzzled me why horses all share the same birthday.

🤣🤣🤣

I actually think it has something to do with how they age them for racing? 2 year old, 3year old etc.

Reminds me of an advert they used to run in the Uk for sore throats. Horse go suck a Zube.

Most of them can't count so they don't know their own birthdate.

My Beau has plenty of birthdays.
He says, mother, yes Beau, mother yes Beau it's my birthday, I say happy birthday Beau. He waits 5 minutes and starts again

🤦

Guess it saves owners trying to remember the actual date of a horse's birth.

Imagine if a horse was born only days before the annual birthday, in a matter of days it would become a year old, wouldn't it?

U hit the nail on the head there, "Ezzy". Just think that if you'd bred a special horse to race in the 2 yr old classic, the Golden Slipper or the other major 2 yr old classics. You'd be totally devastated as it'd no doubt be classified as a 3 yr old. Wot a "Bummer" it would be.

No doubt, I'll be corrected on that comment.

I think that you will find that most professional horse breeders take this into account. I believe that horse mating can actually be very wild and dangerous for both horses And people if they are close by. Therefore most of breeding is done via AI & therefore more controlled, otherwise it is controlled by introducing a stallion to the mare for short periods of time.
Therefore breeding is controlled by dates.

Please somebody correct me if I am wrong. There must be a horse breeder on here somewhere?
Some women are lucky that we are not horses I guess :ROFLMAO:
