Golf
A professional golfer found himself stranded and extra day in a small town after playing in a charity tournament. With time to kill, he decided to play the local course, and see if he could pick up a few dollars.
At the course, he was paired with a very nice gentleman. After intentionally playing the first two holes over par, he asked on the third whole if the man would "care to make it interesting" for $1. The man agreed, and the pro let him win the hole.
Through the match, the amount slow rose, with the pro letting the man win a couple to keep him interested. By the 18th hole, it was up to $100, the pro already having
pocketed nearly $250. He won the hole easily, and smiled to himself having walked away with $350 easy pocket money.
In the clubhouse, he was appalled when he saw the gentleman dressing in a priest's collar and suit. Embarrassed, he explained to the Priest that he was a professional golfer, and had taken advantage. He offered the priest the money he had won.
The Priest declined. "I deserved it to lose," he said. "I had no right to be betting in the first place. But, if it will make you feel better, bring your parents by sometime, and I'll marry them for free."
