Get your online shopping delivered even FASTER with this simple Australia Post tip!

Gone are the days of going to the local store and browsing every shelf in search of the item we need; now, we can do it all from the comfort of our homes.

Online shopping has become second nature for many Aussies and has made it easier than ever to grab what we need no matter where we are.

However, one downside to this modern convenience is that there's always the worry that packages may get delivered to the wrong address, take longer than expected or end with the dreaded 'carding'.

Fortunately, Australia Post has made it possible for us to get our shopping delivered to us conveniently and on time, every time.

That's right, members – Australia Post has a neat service that might just be perfect for you.

When you make an order, you can now choose one of the available lockers – and your order will be securely delivered there, ready for you to pick up and retrieve 24/7.

Best of all, Parcel Lockers are free to use.

You can also register for multiple lockers if you have multiple deliveries coming your way.

Australia Post Executive General Manager Retail Catriona Noble said that during the upcoming Valentine’s Day, they anticipate an even higher usage rate for these handy lockers.

She said: 'As we approach Valentine's Day, we expect Australians' love affair with Parcel Lockers to reach new heights.'

'A spike in activity is expected this week as customers choose to securely stash their gifts away from prying eyes. Aussies know the best way to keep the romance alive is with an element of surprise – something our Parcel Lockers can help with.'

The post office anticipates a huge spike in delivery to their Parcel Lockers from the racy lingerie brand Honey Birdette and the online adult retailer Lovehoney, based on last year's statistics.

In fact, last year during the two weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day, Australia Post saw a 150 per cent increase in items sent to Parcel Lockers from Honey Birdette and a 116 per cent increase from Lovehoney.

Furthermore, the utilisation of Parcel Lockers saw a 3.9 per cent uplift in the two weeks prior to Cupid's favourite day last year. The data also showed that 20.2 per cent of customers chose to use a Parcel Locker for the first time, certainly an indication that customers desire a secure place with which to hide their Valentine's Day presents.

Seems like Parcel Lockers are where smart shoppers go to hide their Valentine’s Day presents! But this is also perfect for birthdays and other occasions when prying eyes in your house can’t be trusted not to snoop.

That is fine is you have a car to get to the parcel lockers. I like my postie to bring my parcels to my door. I suppose in the future this may have to be the way with the number of people stealing parcels. It is a sad indictment on society.

NO!!! When I order something for home delivery - that is where I want it delivered. I am not going to fall for Aust Post's lastest scam to get their out-sourced delivery drivers to do less work.
Similarly - why do 'non-letterbox sized' articles get given to posties who don't want to leave their bikes unattended outside a house in a safe area. I just call that laziness.
Aust Post are paid to do a service - not shuffle us around to suit themselves. They make a fortune out of outsourcing - let them share that with the peole that allow them to make that profit,

Ok🤭don’t mean to be negative but there is a downside to it. I booked a locker, was very excited as I hate having to line up in the post office. I received delivery text and went straight down to pick up. Tried using the key code to access the locker, tried several times. Had to go and line up in the post office😩Was told that the locker was still occupied with previous booking and they went and got my item from the back. So no I don’t book lockers, I have items delivered to my home☹️😐
