Get the designer look for just $2.50 with Kmart's new bracelet – You won't believe the resemblance to its $30,000 counterpart

Do you love the look of designer jewellery but don’t have the funds to splash out on a luxury piece?

Well, Kmart has come to the rescue once again, releasing a $2.50 designer dupe that, at first glance, is nearly indistinguishable from its expensive counterpart!

Fashion lovers have discovered the retailer's line of budget-friendly bracelets, which are a near-identical dupe of the iconic Cartier ‘Love’ bracelets.

The luxury brand sells versions with yellow gold and diamonds and rose gold and diamonds; both cost a whopping $26,900. Another version is the white gold and diamonds, priced at an eye-watering $28,800.

According to the luxury brand, the ‘Love’ collection serves to seal love that ‘transgresses convention’. This is translated in the piece’s design; it has stark screws, two rigid arcs that form an impeccable oval shape and studded with pieces of diamonds to form an elegant bracelet.

Based on the product description, the bracelet’s 10 brilliant-cut diamonds total around 0.96 carats. Each bracelet comes with its own screwdriver to secure the item to the wearer.

‘The closure is designed with two functional screws placed on either side of the bracelet. You will need help to open or close it,’ the brand stated before adding that you will only be able to wear the bracelet using their specific brand of a screwdriver.

Kmart has launched budget-friendly but cute copies of two of the bracelet types: white and yellow gold colour. These bracelets are now present in physical stores and Kmart’s online store. Kmart’s dupe comes in the form of a 2-pack (with a $5 total price tag).

It is made from zinc alloy, brass, iron, plastic, and glass and only comes in one size. The inner bangle measures 5.5cm (diameter), and the outer bangle measures 5.9cm (diameter).

It features gemstones detailing the entire outer bangle, but instead of being embedded in the bangle (like Cartier’s version), Kmart’s bracelets have protruding gemstones.

Kmart’s impeccable designer dupe also has an adjustable lobster clasp closure chain, and the hinges open and close easily – no special screwdriver needed.

Many shoppers who’ve seen Kmart’s version claim that the pieces of jewellery look identical from afar. Some claim that they can hardly tell the difference.

‘Cheers to Kmart for the $2.50 Cartier knockoff,’ one shared and uploaded a photo of her newest purchase alongside an image of the original Love bracelets.

Hundreds were amazed at the side-by-side comparison and expressed their opinions on social media.

‘No one looking at it would know the difference,’ one claimed.

Another agreed and wrote: ‘If you use an even coat or two of a good quality, high shine, clear nail varnish - you've got yourself a (semi) keeper!’

Others, however, weren’t impressed with Kmart’s dupe.

‘I’m sure that would fade colour so quickly,’ one said.

‘This bracelet is so famously faked that Cartier is no longer verifying them, and they basically have no value after resale,’ another replied.

The budget retailer is well-known for their designer lookalikes and affordable everyday essentials. Kmart even released their own version of luxury perfumes, all priced at $12, that has been compared to perfumes released by high-profile celebrities and designers, such as Ariana Grande, Vera Wang, Gucci, and Marc Jacobs.

And according to a lot of shoppers, Kmart’s latest offerings are the exact dupes of the expensive perfumes – from the scent down to the bottle. You can check out their full list of perfumes here.

In a similar report, a TikTok user and avid Kmart shopper shared her list of unique Kmart bargains with her followers. Many of whom were quite surprised by the vast range of potential money-saving items.

The shopper compared Kmart’s alternative beauty products, water bottles, and electronic devices to more expensive brands, such as Drunk Elephant, Frank Green, and Stanley. You can read more details about her comparison checks here.

I actually saw this yesterday while with my daughter who was looking at all their new jewellery.

I thought it looked rather cheap , I commented to my daughter how alot of the jewellery pieces looked like they were scratched and marked.

I feel they will discolour very easy .

Maybe ok for a wear once or twice piece.

There is no way you can compare it to the $30,000 piece.

You really do get what you pay for.

The more expensive piece could become a family heirloom where thus one definitely is a disposable item

Nothing that you pay big bucks for these days is worth saving for family heirlooms. Just like the new car whatever goods lose value as soon as it is sold. To get a valuable piece you need to buy an antique with provenance that can be verified. As no one seems to value anything these days it is just as well to leave the family well-educated in kindness & caring, not tatty bits of modern jewellery that has nothing going for it.

Another way of spending on something you don't really NEED but is a must-have you WANT!!

I won’t be joining the ‘hundreds’ of shoppers ‘flocking’ (!!!!???!!!) to K mart to buy a rubbish bracelet!!! Why do you have to use these stupid adjectives to talk about things???????

I'll save the $2.50 thanks or I rather invest that in a Lotto Or Oz Lotto ticket. One never knows when one might get a winning entry.

Look, another man won $30M Power Ball 13.4.2023 in Camden.
