Get a $77 exotic beauty cream experience with Kmart’s $8 buy!

The beauty industry is a world of luxury, glamour, and, often, hefty price tags.

But what if you could get the same indulgent experience for a fraction of the cost?

That's exactly what Kmart is offering with its latest beauty dupe, and it's causing quite a stir among shoppers.

The product in question is a dupe of the cult-favourite Brazilian Bum Bum cream by Sol De Janeiro, a beauty brand renowned for its exotic, tropical scents and high-quality products.

Sold at Mecca, the original Bum Bum cream is popular among beauty enthusiasts thanks to its rich, creamy texture and addicting scent.

However, with a price tag of $77, it's not an everyday purchase for most people.

Enter Kmart's OXX Cosmetics line, which has recently launched a range of products that mimic the Sol De Janeiro line, including creams, mists, body butter, and fragrances.

The best part? Prices start from just $8.

The news of this affordable alternative has excited social media, with shoppers eager to see if the Kmart version lives up to the hype of the original.

'We need to see if these live up to the real thing!' one shopper commented.

'Kmart's bum bum cream!' another exclaimed, while a third added, 'These would be cool if they lived up to the real thing!'

The Kmart range includes a version of the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and the Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist, which retails for $38 to $61.

All products in the new Kmart range, such as the Beach Bliss Summer Solstice Body Butter and Beach Bliss Summer Solstice Body Mist, are priced at $8 each, with body packs also available for $16.

The body packs include the Beach Bliss Summer Solstice Gift Set and the Coconut Waves Summer Solstice Gift Set.

Despite the products being sold out on the Kmart website, some lucky shoppers have managed to snag them in-store.

'I ran to Kmart, and they were unpacking them,' one person confirmed.

'Just a heads up, they are pretty much sold out everywhere,' another person warned.

However, those who have managed to get their hands on the products have been singing their praises.

'Click and collected mine yesterday. They smell EXACT, and the pink one doesn’t just vanish into nothing. You won’t regret buying them. Like I’m literally telling EVERYONE,' one shopper shared.

‘Kmart never fails,’ another added.

For those who haven't been able to find them in their local Kmart, the range has also been spotted in Target, which has recently started stocking Kmart products such as Anko and OXX Cosmetics.

‘I just found the cutest gift sets in Target today…for those that are interested, they are like Sol De Janeiro dupes,’ social media personality @ohthecrystalchandeliers said.

She had three-piece beauty packs, which included three of the new products.

‘This set smells so similar to this Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist— it’s a pretty good dupe.’

‘It’s not exactly the same, the scent is a little bit different…but really similar. It’s an amazing dupe,’ she concluded.

She also tried the Coconut Waves scented products, which is a mix of coconut, hazelnut and vanilla and the Beach Bliss range, which includes caramel, almond and vanilla.

Kmart isn’t the first to dupe the popular Bum Bum Cream, as ALDI also offered its version of the cult beauty buy during a previous edition of their summer Special Buys in 2022.

The product was called the Summer Touch Beauty Balm (also referred to as 'Booty Balm'). The cream has guarana extract and coconut oil for firming and conditioning the skin and a tropical scent.

My big question is what is in it and how do the ingredients compare to the more expensive one.
Usually the cheap items have harsher ingredients than the more expensive
