General Discussion Thread 03.04.2024

G’day, members! I hope you’re all having a lovely day so far. 😄

Got something on your mind? The General Discussion thread is the perfect spot to chat about whatever you like—share a funny story, ask a question, have a good old discussion, or just drop in to say hello. No need to be shy—we’re all here for a friendly chat!

Speaking of stories, I’ve got one for you. I woke up this morning trying to piece together a dream I had last night. You know how it is—it’s so vivid when you’re half-asleep, but then it vanishes the moment you’re up! All I can recall is a group of priests dancing ballet. Not sure where that came from, but it is certainly strange!

Do you often remember your dreams? And what’s the quirkiest or most memorable one you’ve had? Share yours below!

Yes, I remember my dreams and I usually dream in colour. The reccuring dream I have is finding my self in a house (not my house) sometimes a large house, usually needs cleaning, painting or needs repairing or is totally disorganised. I survey the house and then start planning how I will restore, clean organise etc. When I start on any of these tasks usually wake up!.

Yes I sure do I was fighting with someone trying to steal my handbag I took a swing at the person nexts thing I woke up sitting on the floor I don’t remember falling out of bed couldn’t even tell you if I hit my head.I had to ring my neighbour to come and help me i was so embarrassed .jolly

I have remembered almost every dream. At one time, night after night I would dream complete war stories, a different one each night.
The best one was about my first job. In the days before computers, mobile phones and television, I worked for the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Charleville. We provided a communication service to outback QLD and NT. NOW I eae sending a telegram to Nerot from
Spiro. And I lost my biro. With a headphone and a long cord attached I ended out of the building on the river backwash side.
IT WAS BLACK AND WHITE ... SUDDENLY this horrible creature jump out at me and said "I am a slippery' ... Boy did run with that thing chasing me ... Into the building and up into the rafters and I found an attic type window and got ready to jump out... There was a green FB Holden ute loaded with hay and the whole area was beautiful colour and I jumped landed in the hay and was saved from the monster slippery.... THAT WAS The DREAM 60 PLUS YEARS ago and I still remember it.

No I don’t usually remember dreams just one I had as a very young child which at the time scared me so much I never forgot it. Maybe I was read little red riding hood or something I don’t know but I remember my Mum and I were being chased by a fox so we hid of all places in the oven 😂
😮🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣funny

Oh wow, that sounds really intense! I’m glad you’re okay, even though I can imagine it was pretty disorienting to wake up on the floor

A recent dream I had was me riding a high powered motor bike near Hexham, Newcastle. I was all decked out in black leathers and was much younger. Funny thing is I have never ridden any type of motorbike but it was fantastic in the dream!
Wow! Maybe your mind just wanted to feel that rush! Have you ever thought about giving it a go in real life?

That's amazing that you can still remember the details of your dream from so long ago! I love how you escaped by jumping out the window—like something straight out of a movie :D
