FYI - Here are some scams currently making the rounds:

  1. Fake Utility Calls: Scammers impersonate utility company representatives, claiming you owe money and demanding immediate payment to avoid service disconnection.
  2. Jury Duty Scam: Fraudsters pretend to be court officials, threatening arrest for missing jury duty unless a fine is paid.
  3. Phishing Messages: Scammers send fake emails or texts pretending to be from banks or government agencies, asking for sensitive information4.
  4. Investment Scams: These involve fake opportunities promising high returns, often using deepfake videos of celebrities to lure victims.
  5. Ticket Sale Scams: Fraudulent sellers target high-demand events, like concerts, with fake tickets.
Stay vigilant! If something feels off, it's always better to double-check. Have you encountered any suspicious activity recently?
