Frozen Pensions​

Hello my name is Martin and my Wife is Jackie and we live near Brisbane
My wife and I retired to Australia in 2004 and really enjoy being here and have made many good friends.
I think the UK government is treating us seniors with huge contempt by not upgrading our state pensions for which we have paid for all of our working life. To add insult to injury this would mean that in certain cases Australia would have to pick up the tab if some seniors got into trouble. To date the UK government is underpaying us to the tune of over £150 per month. It might be a good idea to lobby our State MP as well as Federal MP to see if they have any influence in correcting this anomaly. I would be pleased to hear the comments of others in this position.

So sorry to hear about your troubles. I'm not sure that many others will relate as most are from Australia, but we can wait to hear what they have to say!
