Here are the ingredients you need:

1. A small barbecue chicken, skin and bones removed, meat shredded
2. 500g of frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, peas and corn), thawed
3. Two 200g tubs of French onion dip
4. 80ml of milk
5. A loaf from a 450g twin-pack garlic bread
6. 60g of unsalted butter at room temperature
7. A tbsp finely chopped fresh continental parsley leaves

Start by preheating your oven to 180C or 160C fan-forced, and grease a 1.5L (6 cups) round baking dish. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken (a rotisserie chicken from the supermarket works just as well as freshly barbecued), thawed mixed vegetables, French onion dip, and milk. Give it a good stir until all the ingredients are well combined and evenly dispersed.

Once your scrumptious mixture is ready, transfer it to the prepared baking dish. Cut the garlic bread slices in half to create thinner slices, and spread the buttered side of the slices with some more soft, room-temperature butter. Next, arrange the slices, with the buttered side up, over the chicken mixture in a lovely, overlapping spiral pattern.

Pop it in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until the dish is heated through and the bread is a beautiful golden brown. If needed, loosely cover with foil to prevent the garlic bread from browning too quickly. Once it's out of the oven, sprinkle the parsley over the top for that little extra touch – and voilà, your incredible French Onion Chicken and Garlic Bread Bake is complete!

With its creamy texture and tantalising blend of flavours, not to mention the incredible aroma that fills your home while baking, we're sure this French Onion Chicken and Garlic Bread Bake will quickly become a favourite amongst your family and friends.
