Fremantle Harbour this morning 1st March 2025

As Volunteer Duty Watch Officer on the sail training ship Leeuwin2 for the weekend I see harbour life changing every minute of the day. I love it! Pity Leeuwin2 does not have her masts and Rigging in this picture today.20250301_060434.jpg

I remember walking along that port years ago. Wasn't going anywhere, just wanted to see it. The depth of that water is frightening!
6.8 metres from the waterline of Leeuwin, to the harbour botton along the A, B, C, D, E, sheds wharf side. Then 14.7 meters deep in the middle and the North Wharf where all the container ships berth. This 6.8 deep shelf is what diverted the Container ship away from Leeuwins hull and stopped the Starboard side Tug amidships of the Container ship from being crushed into the wharf! Thank God!
