Free to Good Home - Siberian Husky

We live in Ipswich QLD and are unable to give this 5 year old the attention he needs e.g. daily walks and play. He is extremely active and strong for such a small dog (26kg) and he needs a yard with 6 foot fencing all the way round. He also needs to be on a lead before you let him out anywhere because like a jackrabbit he'll be gone and you won't be able to catch him. He also likes going for car rides. He has had all his shots and has been desexed and I can do the microchip transfer. So please if you know someone who is interested please let them know he is like I said free to a good home, and I hope that no member of the SDC would recommend him to otherwise.
We call him Tink, because he thinks he can get away with everything. He is currently on the SHAMROQ site and if you get him from there you will have to pay several hundred dollars, I would like him to go to a nice family with no other dogs especially male because he wants to be uno numo. And whoever gets him needs to be extremely active with him.

He will need your care and compassion in the next few days. What is his name?

I can't have pets where I live, but I will tell anyone I know who might be interested. He looks and sounds very nice. I have seen one or two in the park near me.

Tink sounds like a lively and loving dog who just needs the right home! Hopefully, an active family with a secure yard and no other male dogs can give him all the attention he deserves. Wishing you the best in finding the perfect match for him! 💗

Good luck sweetheart, we had a Husky German Shepard cross and she was the best dog we ever owned. She became the heart and soul of our family , she was so intelligent and we miss her dearly. Unfortunately as we are retiring and going to live on our boat we cannot help you out but I am sure who ever rescues him will have a lifelong partner. My kids have dogs already so they are of no help .

Have you joined a Siberian Husky social online group? ie. a facebook group? They do rehoming.
He is on SHAMROQ facebook page and I got in touch with a couple of sledding groups as well, they told me to go to SHAMROQ we actually got him from them. They would normal not take an adoptee back but realise we cant give him what he needs.

Meet Missy, we were rescued by her from the Animal Welfare League down the coast and had 15 wonderful years with her. SH/GSX wasn't too sure of me too start with but eventually we became the best of friends, and when our time together ended we mourned the loss of a family member. Good luck with your new adventures.

What a beautiful dog. We had a Siberian Husky from a puppy but when he was around 5 we had to also give him away. He was very very playful and would actually knock hubby over as soon as he went into the backyard.

I think he use to take me for a walk not me taking him.

The only thing I hated was the amount of hair he shedded.

It was the saddest day when we gave him away but a friend found him a home that loved and spoilt him .

read and you will find out. alas I am too old for this dog. live in the area too.
Yes he needs a young family who will give him all the attention he wants. We have a few kids say they want him but their parents say a strong NO.

He is small compared to some of our past family members. Less than 5kg is a toy I had one of those a long time ago and some ratbag school kids put the boot into her, I swore from that time on no furry member of my family would be unable to look after themselves.
SGH, I can relate to your concept re size. We had two dogs from the same litter and knew both doggy parents well, and expected big dogs. The smallest of the 2 was 65kg and her brother was 90kg. They were big dogs!🐕
