Fort Macquarie Tram Depot

About 65 years ago, the old Fort Macquarie Tram Depot was demolished, making space for the iconic Sydney Opera House we know and love today. The depot's location was chosen in 1955 for the opera house after buses replaced trams in the 1950s. Construction began shortly after, and the rest is history!
