Fly with love for less: Snag Virgin Australia’s flights for $69!

Whether basking in the golden sunsets of the Gold Coast or exploring the lush tropics of Cairns, Australians have a keen sense of adventure that often takes to the skies.

However, travelling can be pricey, and finding deals that don't break the bank is something we all cherish deeply.

In the spirit of love and adventure, Virgin Australia is offering a Valentine's Day treat that's hard to resist.

The airline has slashed prices on more than 300,000 fares to some of Queensland's most sought-after destinations.

With one-way flights starting at $69, this is a golden opportunity for Aussies to plan their next getaway without breaking the bank.

The Valentine’s Day sale, which kicked off on Wednesday, February 14, is part of Virgin Australia's commitment to making travel more accessible and affordable.

The airline is offering discounted fares to popular Queensland destinations such as Cairns, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and Hamilton Island.

These jaw-droppingly low prices will be available for the next seven days or until February 20, giving travellers ample time to secure their tickets.

The sale covers travel dates from March 6 to September 12, 2024, providing flexibility for those who prefer to plan their trips well in advance.

Some of the top-selling roundtrip tickets include the following:

This sale is made possible by the support of the Tourism Recovery Package, a joint initiative by the federal and state governments.

This package was announced in the wake of ex-Tropical Cyclone Jasper, aiming to boost tourism and help the industry recover from the impacts of the cyclone.

The ex-tropical cyclone made landfall and affected several areas in Northern Queensland last December due to ‘life-threatening’ flash floods and destructive winds.

Whether you're dreaming of a beach getaway on the Gold Coast or exploring the natural beauty of Cairns, this sale could be your ticket to an unforgettable Queensland adventure!

Here I am sitting in the Virgin terminal at Brisbane airport. It's 10.30, I have been here since 6am, after a 5 hour train trip, to discover my 9.30 am Perth flight has been cancelled with no explanation.
I now have to spend 12 hours in the airport and await my 6pm flight home to Perth
No offer of a meal voucher, not even a cup of coffee.
So much for Virgin service.

Yes, I sympathize, I often fly VIRGIN to visit my children in the NT. Not many options to go there. I am surprised if they don't change my flight a month before to another time. My last trip 3 weeks ago from NT/SA/ to Perth no direct flights from Alice springs. I was delayed by a hour. My gate was changed 3 times in 45 mins. Glad I didn't have much to carry racing around Adelaide airport. I am travelling Jetstar for my next Destination Cheaper than both Virgin & Qantas. I can't expect the service to be much worse! I hope they ask you for feed back No care, No responsibility airlines

Unfortunately what I hear of Jetstar in all regards except price is far worse, I would stick with Virgin if I were you.😉
