Budget airline Bonza is making waves in the Australian travel industry with its latest announcement.
In celebration of its birthday, Bonza is offering a limited number of fares for as low as $49 across its network.
This is a golden opportunity for travellers looking to explore Australia without breaking the bank.
However, you'll need to act fast.
There are only 200,000 seats on sale across all routes for the Bonza Bargain sale, and the offer expires just before midnight on February 5.
The discounted flights will be valid for travel between February 1 and March 29 and April 7 and October 26, 2024.
The airline is also launching a new route between the Sunshine Coast and Launceston, with one-way fares starting from $89.
However, it's worth noting that peak times and certain flights might be excluded from the deal, according to the airline’s terms and conditions.
The new service between Queensland and Tasmania will operate twice weekly on Monday and Friday, starting from March 29.
This marks the airline’s 12th route from its home base at Sunshine Coast Airport and second route from Launceston Airport, Bonza said.
Bonza CEO Tim Jordan expressed his excitement about the new route, saying, 'We are delighted to connect the Sunny Coast and Launnie with direct low-cost air travel, allowing customers to save time and money.'
He added, 'This service is great news for travellers and for the local tourism and hospitality industries.'
It is understood that Bonza made its decision to close five routes last year to higher-demand areas temporarily.
The airlines hoped that they would be able to not only improve the frequency and reliability of their other services but also build additional capacity within their small fleet of four aircraft and prepare to open up more job opportunities and roll out new routes in the future.
