Fly to Bali from major cities for only $639 with Qantas' massive sale
Have you been considering a trip to the beautiful island of Bali but are worried about the cost of plane tickets? Look no further—Qantas has got you covered with their massive Bali sale that's available right now.
If you're thinking of travelling to the ever-popular holiday destination from any of the major cities—Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, or Canberra—you're in luck!
The cheapest sale fare is currently priced at $639, with each economy return from January to June next year!
Not only that, if you're up for a luxurious trip to Bali in late January, then you can get yourself a business class fare for only $2449 return.
You have until midnight of the 14th of December to take advantage of this offer, after which the sale will end—unless it's all sold out first, of course.
Furthermore, you can enjoy all the usual perks that come with travelling with Qantas, such as complimentary food and beverages, seat selection, and checked baggage.
If international travel isn’t in the cards for you soon, don't worry—there's still Qantas' domestic Christmas sale that will offer over 40 routes at $150 or less, one-way! Just remember to take advantage of this sale before it ends on midnight, 12 December.
Continuing with the festivities, Qantas has revealed two Christmas-themed aircraft—the Q400 'Dasher-8' and 737 'Roo-dolph'—which will be flying across the regional and domestic network until the end of December. Plus, passengers will receive double frequent flyer points for flying on these planes!
You can read more about that here.
More than that, 'wine time' shall now begin as soon as 4:00 p.m. to midday, on all domestic flights for the remainder of the month. Economy passengers will be served complimentary Australian wine or beer with their afternoon snacks or lunch.
Qantas also has your future travel needs covered! The airline has recently rolled out a deal with Ticketek that will go live in March of next year.
Frequent flyers will then be able to pay for events, such as concerts, with their points—though there are already exclusive pre-sales, special offers, and packages that combine flights and hotels with event tickets.
Now, although the year-end holiday season is a fantastic time for travel, that doesn't mean Aussies will be exempt from the local customs and laws of where they visit—especially in Bali!
The Australian government has come forth, urging travellers to abide by traditional customs while in Indonesia.
Furthermore, various implementations from Indonesia were released, including an official tourist dos and don’ts list, a hotline to report misbehaving travellers, a special task force was made to monitor foreigners’ activities, and a tourist tax will be introduced next year.
You can read more about that story here.
Assistant Foreign Affairs Minister Tim Watts said that one huge no-no for travellers in Bali would be wearing 'inappropriate' clothing at religious sites such as temples.
‘If you’re going to a religious site in Bali, a temple or something like that, respect the dress standards,’ he said.
'Don’t go for that shot in a bikini at that kind of location because culturally, that’s not going to be appreciated by locals.'
Before anyone sets off on a journey, it's best to do a bit of research—that way, you won't ever put yourself in the bad books of the locals!
With all this being said, however, the Indonesian Tourism Minister and her Deputy have been rather clear in expressing their desire to still welcome Australians with warmth and kindness.
