Back in the 60's when our family went to Taronga Zoo, before we even left home, we were told if we got separated or lost that we had to go the clock and wait. Our Dad always came to pick us up. Now-a-day I feel sorry for our dad as we normally roamed the zoo for a few hours before going to the clock. This also happened a lot when we went to the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Our poor Dad spent most of his time waiting on us kids (there was five of us kids) to show up. The thing I remember most these days was he always greeted us with a stern look but was never really angry with us.

Went to the drive in Bullen African Lion Safari near the Dam in Sydney years ago but it has since closed. Loved the way the lions etc came right up to the car. There was also baby animals you could cuddle

l couldn't log on to''My Memorable School Trip''but my happy memory was going to Camp School in Pateley Bridge UK for a month with my school friend Chris. We had to pick a group to join and we chose the walking group .l had to back out of one walk as did others because it was so long.Chris decided to keep going and ended up with blisters. We were also taken by bus to Mother Shipton Cave in Knaresborough and to Stump Cross Caverns to see the stalactites and stalagmites . When we got there l followed the others down the narrow hole to see them but had to climb back up real quick as it was so closed in l just couldn't keep walking further in. Happy days

Great place until the monkeys decided to attack your window wipers, or one of the big cats sitting on top of your roof.
