Fatoush Salad

Thus recipe was given to me from an old Lebonese Friend.

This is my family's second favourite salad .
I eat it as a meal.

Fattoush Salad

Ingredients

1 large Lebanese or pita bread

3 tomatoes chopped

3 Lebanese cucumbers thinly sliced

1 red capsicum, cut in half seeded and cut into thin slices

1 red onion thinly sliced. ( what I do is cut onion in half then thinly slice)

1/2 cup of rocket leaves

1 cup of baby cos lettuce leaves torn with hands

1/2 cup parsley chopped

1/2 cup fresh mint chopped

DRESSING

5 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 garlic clove minced or 1 teaspoon of jar garlic

1 tablespoon of sumac. ( this is a ready available spice and a big part of Fattoush)

Method:

1) Split pita bread open and cook in pan for like 2 minutes we do ours in the airfryer

2) to make dressing just whisk or Ingredients together and add salt n pepper to taste.

3) Add all salad into a bowl pour over dressing and add bread which has been broken up with your hands
