Fact of the Day: This soup is 2,400 years old!​

Soups are a staple dish anyone can make at home- you add your ingredients and your stock of choice in a pot, and leave it bubbling until you're ready to eat!

But one cook took it quite literally, and left a pot of soup for modern-day society to find!

In December 2010, Chinese archaeologists found a 2,400-year-old cauldron of soup, and its contents are still liquid.

The cauldron, filled with broth and animal bones, was found in a tomb while the archaeologists cleared the land for an upcoming development.

'It's the first discovery of bone soup in Chinese archaeological history,' Liu Daiyun of the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology stated in a newspaper interview.
