Fact of the Day: There are different kinds of mint
We may know the usual peppermint and spearmint, but there are more than 30 types of mint in existence.
As of 2020, there are 24 types of Mentha plants. Meanwhile, about nine plants outside the Mentha genus are recognised as mints.
Each mint leaf has their own distinct flavour profile and are used in different ways ranging from food preparation and medicine.
