Fact of the Day: The first photograph in history almost got lost in time!
From black and white portraits that took weeks before we can see the photos to today's instant photos, photography has indeed come a long way. But what was the world's first photograph like?
The first photograph ever taken was by a French scientist named Joseph Nicéphore Niépce.
He captured the image with a camera obscura in 1826. It took him eight hours to capture the image because of the long exposure needed for the camera.
The image was almost lost in time, as it took historians 50 years to find it.
